From the military services and around the DoD, here’s your SITREP for Tuesday, September 19, 2017.

  • The Army has tips for service members affected by the recent credit card reporting company breach. Here is what you need to know to protect yourself.
  • The USS Iwo Jima, USS New York, and multiple embarked Navy and Marine Corps units have completed initial rescue and recovery operations in support of federal and state officials following Hurricane Irma’s devastation of the Florida Keys.
  • Air Force leaders and wounded warriors came together to stress the importance of treating invisible wounds.
  • In a big step for medical innovation, Al Udeid Air Base recently shipped its first unit of cold storage platelets to a location within the U.S. Air Forces Central Command Area of Responsibility. Officials say this changes the strategy for transfusions.
